The screen fades to black, the credits start their trek up the
screen and you sit in your seat, staring, wondering if the “good
guy” really was.
So many films feature the theme of redemption, of good and evil
and then do their damnedest to blur the line between the two.
You wonder-- leaving the theater or tearing yourself from the
couch-- if having some good come of evil actions makes a hero. Or was the good just a happy accident coated in buckets of
blood?
These films star main characters who certainly don’t possess
undeniable goodness of Superman and may not harbor quite the unfiltered
evil of Keyzer Soze, but who fall somewhere in-between and leave you
wondering if you spent two hours rooting for Satan himself.
