Super
Behind Enemy Lines is a moving movie.
It tells the story of a downed US pilot
in Serbia. The movie is amazing, great
camera angles, great acting. The
soundtrack adds a whole lot to the movie
as well. By all means, get this movie,
watch it at all costs.

Behind
Enemy Lines

Solid
Behind enemy lines starts out with a
somewhat cheesy storyline. Owen Wilson's
character, Chris Burnett, is the cliche of
the guy who wants to out-step the
boundaries of his institution. As a navy
navigation pilot, he wants more than
training and test flights. So of course he
and his partner outstep their boundaries,
crossing into territory that ends up
containing people doing something they
shouldn't be (those darn Serbians). Their
plane is shot down, and Owen's co-pilot,
with broken legs, is executed by
"hostile Serbian forces." The
rest of the movie consists of an
action-packed and suspenseful flee to a
rescue point. His Commanding officer
(played by Hackman), must communicate with
Burnett to find a pickup point in order to
save his life.
The story is relatively shallow and very
unrealistic. The adversary in the movie is
a Serbian assassin who insists on going
after Burnett alone in order to draw out
the movie. Realistically, Burnett would
have been killed several times throughout
the movie. It's your average action flick,
but it's just a little bit more
interesting. Fun to watch, but it's no
Black Hawk Down when it comes to realism,
more like a Jacky Chan movie with an ounce
of character.
