I was just recentyly exposed to the master piece and I
literly can't stop watching it. When I come home from
work it aoutomaticaly goes into the DVD play. Although the
movie is top notch a soundtrack would be even better and
don't let it be one of those cds that don't include
everything. I want to hear it all. This is the most often
watched dvd in my extensive collection. I do hope that the
next one live up to it predecesor. Please think about that
soundtrack thing. Seriouse.

This movie is quite possibly the greatest of the movies
I have seen. It truely is 'Huge' even though I wouldn't
suggest you quitting your job to see this movie. Don't rent
the movie and wait, order it off amazon.com during your
lunch break. Enjoy!

A wonderful independent film by first-time
writer/director Troy Duffy and starring Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman
Reedus as the MacMannus brothers.
These twin brothers are vigilantes. To the Boston police,
they are killers. To the public, they are saints. And
they're on a mission - from God.
Definitely a must-see movie! This movie is not about two
brothers that kill "bad people". It's about right
and wrong, and where to draw the line between the two. Troy
Duffy accurately portrays this in his first feature film, The Boondock
Saints.

The first cool thing I have to say about
this movie is that at the top of the bill they have the Irish guys
played by actors with Irish names and the Italian guy played by an Italian
name wheeling actor. How novel.
That useless bit of minutia from my
cluttered mind out of the way, this is a movie any aficionado of
independent movie of the crime genre will enjoy. It's camp
and freaky, gritty and laced with unmentioned
details.
|
| Willem DaFoe is excellent
as a freaky FBI agent. Flanery and Reedus play two cool
brothers whose unorthodox religious fervor is based on
hand-me-down prayers, incantations and teachings, drive them
head on into a rigorous crusade.
The action is well paced, the dialog
is cool and the characters are memorable. The DVD is worth
getting because there's enough here for many watchings. |
