| In
the year 2808 three convicted criminals serving hard
time are given the opportunity to shave time off their
sentences by becoming agents of the Cyber Police.
To keep them in line, the agency has fixed explosive
collars around their necks. If the agents fail to
check in, or if they otherwise run amuck, their heads
will explode with the push of a button.
Furthermore, they are given time limits to solve each
case and if they exceed them: kaboom. |
| The
series is split into three episodes. The first
episode features the foul-mouthed, gun-slinging Sen Goku.
He must break into the city's tallest skyscraper to
rescue 50,000 people as well as the city's central power
grid. As always, there is more than meets the eye
as it seems the building has a life of its own.
The second episode pits the computer hacking Gogul
against a half man, half machine military weapon.
Along the way he meets his femme fatale ex-partner and
finds himself on the wrong side of the law again.

|
| The
third episode features the hermaphroditic-looking Benten
on the trail of a murderer who leaves fang marks in the
necks of his victims. Is it a modern day vampire
or a twisted assassin? In an age where technology
and medicine are so advanced, you can't take anything
for granted. |
| God,
I love this series! The artwork is great even by
today's standards, the characters are well crafted and
well thought out, and the plot is great. It is a
little corny at times (like most action movies are), but
it is a lot of fun and well worth checking out.
It's one of my favorites from a fantastic director
Yoshiaki Kawajiri (The
Animatrix, X, Vampire
Hunter D: Bloodlust, Ninja
Scroll).
