All over again, but not
by Joe De Matteo
HUGE
It grabbed in, made me a believer and then took
me for a ride like no other I've ever taken. |
| Tony Scott delivers;
with great films under his belt like Man on Fire,
Enemy of the State and True Romance, one might say
that everything till now was just to prepare him for
this film. And what a resounding achievement
Deja Vu is. All you have to do is open your
mind and sit back, and you'll experience the purpose
of filmmaking: You'll leave reality behind and
become a witness to the extraordinary.
Denzel Washington works at his usual level of
excellence, bringing his character alive in a way
that makes him unique but endearing because Denzel
is there.
The wonderful Val Kilmer is another person
altogether. Jim Caviezel has successfully, for
the sake of his career, distanced himself from his
portrayal of Jesus, as a believable terrorist.
This is only his third film after The Passions of
the Christ. I have not seen the film he
starred in after The Passion, Bobby Jones: Stroke
of Genius, but I understand it was a good film.
However, I cannot recommend Unknown to you
enough, it is a worth effort and you should see it.
Unknown has that indy feel, and it is enjoyable. |

| Now, let me tell you about Paula
Patton. Gentlemen, do you want to fall in love
with a dead women? Well, you will, and
you'll completely understand Doug Carlin's need to
know if she is deal or alive. All in all Deja Vu
is the film to watch and the DVD to own. The
documentary is one of the best. |
