Flightplan
By Michael Flanagan
Jodie Foster is a fanstastic actor. And
Peter Sarsgaard is one of the two finest non-related Sarsgaard’s
in the business. And they have great scenes together throughout
this movie. Unfortunately, the script doesn’t deliver. And by
script, I mean plot, story, theme, elements of meaning,
emotional complications, twists, etc. It’s a big ole plane ride
with an explosion at the end that manages to suck the interest
out of the whole thing. There’s one moment in the middle, for
about twenty minutes, where it looks like we may be going
somewhere interesting. Then the rest of the movie happens. For
a good in-flight movie, check out Red Eye. Better stories,
better relationships, and better all around. |
