High Noon
by J E De Matteo
Super
With all
the suspense and feel of a Hitchcock thriller, this
classic western is always a good watch. Don't let
anyone tell you any different, it's the timeless story
of a man being a man, and a woman not wanting him to
be. Hey, ya gatta do what ya gatta do. And,
facing seemingly insurmountable odds, Gary Cooper goes
out to do just that.
If you've never
seen it or haven't seen it for a long time, treat
yourself.

Mark's Movie Info.:
Republic Pictures released a "Silver Screen Classics"
version of High Noon on DVD (easily recognizable by its shiny silver
box). It features a twenty-two minute "making of" documentary
hosted by Leonard Maltin.
In the summer of 2000, Turner Network Television (TNT) made a modern
version of High Noon. Personally, I strongly prefer the original,
but if you're a big fan of High Noon, it might be worth checking out. |
