Before and After: updates and previews

     The second edition of National Treasure opened and was an instant hit.  It's a fun ride; highly entertaining; just pure Well Done.  It's Super, go see it.
 

Synopsis: When a fragment of a page of a missing book is found, it shows the name Thomas Gates as one of the conspirators, the planner of President Lincoln's  assassination.  This Thomas Gates was Ben's great grandfather, neither Ben, nor his father can let this smudge on their families reputation stand; believing this to be totally false, the start on a quest to find the Book of Secrets, a book which only a President of the United States can read. They will do anything to clear their family name. 

The film is scheduled for wide release on December 21, 2007
 

     There isn't much coming out about this film.  The only news is about one of the actors, Helen Mirren (The Queen), back in May she turned down an invite to Buckingham Palace by the real queen, because she was filming in South Dakota.  Interesting to some, I imagine, but not to me.  I want to know about the film. 

     Actually, I want to see it!

     Nicolas Cage returns as Ben Gates - that is Benjamin Franklin Gates. This time he's looking to set the record straight on the Lincoln assassination.  Most of the same people are involved in this sequel, and one of those people is Jerry Bruckheimer. Bruckheimer is a hands on producer, included in his credits is all three of the Pirates of the Caribbean films, Black Hawk Down, Pearl Harbor, Remember the Titans, Enemy of the State, Armageddon, Con Air, The Rock and many, many other GREAT films.

     I cannot wait for this film.
