Mark's Movie Info.:
Julie Kavner, besides being an actress and comedienne, is also an
accomplished voice actor. She lends her voice to the famous Marge
Simpson, Marge's sisters, and Marge's mother on Fox television's The
Simpsons.
This film was based on the real life experiences of Dr. Oliver Sacks
and his work with post-encephalitis patients. To prepare for their
roles, the actors portraying patients studied films of Dr. Sack's actual
post-encephalitis patients. De Niro and Williams studied Sacks and
his patients personally to get a real feeling for how it all worked.
