In a world were superheroes and villains run rampant, it
stands to reason that they should come in all shapes,
sizes, and ages. In such a world, it seems
inevitable that talented and/or superpowered teenagers,
with their hormonal juices in full effect, would take up
the struggle against evil. Robin, Batman's
sidekick, leads the team. Cyborg, a cybernetic boy
complete with lasers and gadgets, Raven, a girl who can
manipulate objects magically, Starfire, a superpowered
girl from space, and Beastboy a changeling who can turn
into any animal round out the team. Together they
are the Teen Titans. |

I am about to do something revolutionary and attempt the
first re-review on MarkAnime.com. In my
first review of Teen Titans, I said the show was
gimmicky and a complete failure. I have since
changed my mind. Now, with Season 2 in full swing,
I realize that I made a mistake. Teen Titans has
proven itself as a successful and groundbreaking show
that maintains the integrity that Warner Bros. has given
to Justice
League, while stretching the boundaries of style
like FLCL.
It is easy to be fooled by the cartoon-ish look and the
goofy humor, but if you give the show a chance it might
just win you over. It has a powerful following and
I believe it will set a new tone in the evolution of
both American and Japanese animation. |

I'm not the world's biggest fan of Teen Titans because I
would have liked to have seen a more serious version of
the show. Like it or not, you have to admit the
show gets a little goofy. Nevertheless, it is
successful in what it has attempted to do. It is a
serious show that has fun with itself without damaging
its own integrity, and it has successfully merged
American and Japanese animation styles. Given the show's
success, I believe that we in America can expect to see
more shows of this kind. I'm here to say that
that's not such a bad thing. |

My Original Teen Titans Review:
"First of all, the show is goofy.
Instead of using the time between fight scenes to develop a plot or
give some depth to the characters, it is mostly used for corny jokes
and bad dialogue. I think the creators were targeting a youth
market with this one, and frankly that's never a good idea.
I've observed that it works better when you make a cartoon with
adults in mind. Even kids expect quality. This cartoon
is mildly entertaining and the characters are interesting, but it is
mostly wasted potential. This show is like making a sow's ear
out of a silk purse. I have seen some clever uses of
preexisting DC comics characters, but for the most part this show is
botched by creators who favor style over substance and overestimated
their abilities to mimic anime.
That is the biggest failure of this cartoon.
Although it was a noble effort, the very concept of American
animation studios emulating anime to this degree is flawed.
Some shows have been able to pull it off, but the majority fall flat
on their faces. Teen Titans is no exception.
Anime is not just an art style, it is also a writing style that is
sophisticated enough to capture adult attention. Whereas other
American cartoon series have what it takes to impress a more
sophisticated audience, Teen Titans does not. Frankly,
I think Hamtaro
is more appealing to a sophisticated audience than Teen Titans."

I love Teen Titans! I try to watch every
episode that is on.I don't like watching certain re-runs
though.I also try to get all the season dvd's.Teen
Titans is very good.It is
funny,cool,addicting,interesting,and sometimes somewhat
realistic,meaning what they go through at times and how
they react and control their emotions.Teen Titans is a
very,very,very good show! .

I think Teen Titans IS WAY WAY WAY cool.
Especially Raven, she's so mysterius, that sometimes I
feel like, if she were real, I could really depend on
her....alot. But, i'm kindof a freak...so, don't say
anything. Also, Starfire is so joyful, she reminds me
alot of a book i read, Heaven Eyes, because of the way
she always sees godd, no matter how horrible things get.
Obviesley, Beastboy is funny.....And Robin is so
cuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuute!!!!!!!He is such a great team leaer
, and he is so cute....did I mension he's cute?!?!? Ok,
enough of that. but I watch teen titans every day. I
memoized their WHOLE theme song. I just love it!! I bet
you would too.

Eck... it was a pretty good show, except
somethings:

It copied anime. Some of you are sick
of hearing this, but it's true. THEY COPIED ANIME.

The song is... annoying, but
addictive. it had me singing the frikken song 45
times at school!

I think Teen Titans rules! My favorite characters are
Starfire, and Beast Boy. My friends love the show too.
We always call each other when it is on. Now usually you
remember Robin as a side-kick. Yet, in this show he is
like one of the main characters. It is cool that the
team is made up of teenagers across the universe.
I have to admitt kids 12 and under would like it, but
it's still a kewl show!

TEEN TIYANS ROCKS!!!! There' NOTHING I hate about it
exept the fact that it doesn't come on everyday. Beast
boys my favorite, he's hilariouse, I like Raven's
