Reviews:
The
Virgin Suicides
by Mark Capitelli
Solid
The film is narrated by a man recounting his
boyhood acquaintance with a tragic family of girls trying to be
teenagers under the iron fist of their overly-protective parents.
This film, as a whole, was pretty decently done.
The performances were good, the plot was interesting, and the
overall product was entertaining. The
film almost fell apart in the end though when the filmmakers almost beat
the point of the film to death, but luckily that wasn’t enough to ruin
the overall product.
It is a dark, sad film that definitely held my
attention. If you are an
indy film fan who likes films about teen rebellion and/or human nature,
then you should check this out.
