Clint Eastwood's
Iwo Jima project is a masterwork of Huge
proportions.
In the end, we
must all realize that everything that happens in human history,
is about each of us; we are all contributors. It is the
cause and effect factor that we individually and collectively
put into motion that changes everything.
As stewards of this earth and its creatures,
for we are that,
stewards - whether you believe that
title was bestowed by a Creator, or by we humans ourselves - we,
each of us individually,
are responsible for far more than we may ever know.
Ultimately, like ripples in a pond, everything is
touched.
Flags of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima illustrates
our efforts at controlling, magnificent and otherwise, as well
as the fact that there are consequences, intended and
otherwise.
These two halves of the same story, show just how convoluted and
affective we humans are, and how we find a way to live with the
results...or not.
