The complexity
of this scene is monumental. The blatant symbolism of
Good vs. Evil though the use of religious symbols and moral
principle, i.e. the white doves, becomes more
powerful with each successive viewing.
To fit it all in Woo stretches out the scene,
and as it unfolds, layer upon layer of complexity is added to
it. With this technique he portrays the many
levels of this battle between Good and Evil, ultimately
within the protagonists themselves (though, with the
exceptions of his helping Archer's daughter, and his love
for his brother, I haven't found the Good in Castor Troy,
especially not in this scene). |

DVD:
There isn't a heck of a lot of extras on the
DVD, however the movie is filled to the brim with action,
special effects, excellent characters, symbolism, and great cinematography.
It's worth triple the triple the price.
